Therapeutic Use Exemption Applications on the FEI Website

Updated Therapeutic Use Exemption (“TUE”) applications for human athletes are available for downloading on the FEI Website www.horsesport.org, under “Legal”. An application needs to be completed and submitted to the FEI Legal Department by the competitor 21 days before participation in an FEI event.

An abbreviated application (“ATUE”) will be deemed accepted upon receipt by the FEI Legal Department provided that the ATUE application is correctly completed. Please note that the route of administration must be clearly identified in the application as it is determinative of whether or not an application can fall under the “abbreviated” process.  An incomplete ATUE application will not be deemed accepted upon receipt.

Medical evidence must be included with the standard TUE application and will be submitted to the FEI TUE Committee for a decision.

All ATUE and TUE applications for athletes in the FEI Registered Testing Pool, whether granted or refused, are registered with WADA who may review the decision of the FEI TUE Committee.

Please contact Fiona Paratte at the FEI Legal Department should you have any queries.
