  1. Does a rider who will only turn 15 years old after the competition is held, be allowed to participate in the adult classes of the Challenge?

    Yes, but only if the rider turns 15 the same year as the Challenge in which he/she wishes to compete is held. In other words, the adult classes of the FEI World Dressage Challenge are open to all competitors from the 1st of January of the year in which they reach the age of 15.

  2. Can a horse be ridden twice during the FEI World Dressage Challenge competition?

    The only instances in which a horse can be ridden twice during the competition are the following:
      • A horse is allowed to start once in one of the adult classes and once in the Children’s class.
      • A horse is allowed to start twice in the Children’s class.

FEI WORLD JUMPING CHALLENGE: Questions & Answers

  1. What is the penalty if a horse is cantering while crossing the Compulsory Trotting Line in category B?

    The horse must be at the trot at the Compulsory Trotting Line Marker otherwise a penalty of 4 penalty points (maximum) will be awarded. It is strongly advised that all Competitors will trot over all Trotting Poles.

  2. Is a rider penalized for knocking Trotting Poles?

    Any knock of trotting poles will entail no penalty. However the horse should trot over the trotting poles. It is strongly advised that all competitors maintain the trot over all Trotting Poles.

  3. Can a rider compete with more than one horse?

    Competitors may ride more than one horse in a category but the score of only one horse will count for points. This horse must be declared before the first competition begins and must be ridden as first horse in each first round. The results obtained with the other horses will not count towards the final standings.

  4. Can a rider that has competed in a CSI participate to the FEI World Jumping Challenge?

    Only riders that have competed in their career inside or outside of their country in a CSI*** (3 stars) and/or a higher level competition are no longer eligible to compete in the FEI World Jumping Challenge.
