Johann Philipp Neumann
Johann Philipp Neumann wurde am 27. Dezember 1774 in Trebic (heute Tschechische Republik) geboren und starb am 3. Oktober 1849 in Wien.
Johann Phillip Neumann war Physiker, Bibliothekar und Dichter. Von 1815 bis 1845 hatte er eine Professur am Polytechnischen Institut in Wien (heute Technische Universität), deren Bibliothek er 1816 gründete und bis 1843 leitete.
Er dichtete den Text der "Deutschen Messe" von Franz Schubert, deren Komposition im Jahr 1827 vollendet wurde.
