Chase Brooks currently resides in Weatherford, Texas. He is the author of Hello, My Love, by the self-publishing company Xlibris, the sequel, Hello, My Love 2: First Love Deserves a Second Chance, and, for the first time, a nonfiction novel about his life and relationships called Reckless. After doing an interview on the "Edge Radio Show with Viz and Cole" on QNation.FM, it had gone so well that the program director and producers of QNation.FM offered him his very own radio show. You can tune in every Thursday night at 10/9pm CST to listen to "Reckless after Dark with Chase Brooks" at http://www.qnation.fm. Chase is working on several new projects and enjoying his time as a newlywed.

C'mon, People!

Commentating on pop culture is definately one of my fortes. It's a gift, what can I say? Poking fun at any highly publicized celebrity event, mishap, or scandal is very self-fulfilling. Some people say that people who do this are low on self-esteem. I think those people are the ones who need the Prozac. I'm perfectly satisfied with my level of self-esteem.

One story that has caught my eye lately (m Read more of this blog post »

Quotes by Chase Brooks  (?)

“When someone cries so hard that it hurts their throat, it is out of frustration or knowing that no matter what you can do or attempt to do can change the situation. When you feel like you need to cry, when you want to just get it out, relieve some of the pressure from the inside - that is true pain. Because no matter how hard you try or how bad you want to, you can't. That pain just stays in place. Then, if you are lucky, one small tear may escape from those eyes that water constantly. That one tear, that tiny, salty, droplet of moisture is a means of escape. Although it's just a small tear, it is the heaviest thing in the world. And it doesn't do a damn thing to fix anything.”
Chase Brooks, Hello, My Love 2: First Love Deserves a Second Chance

“Needy people are like newborns, I have come to realize. One intoxicated night and BAM! You are stuck with this problem. You finally take it home and it wants to keep you up all night and cries when it isn’t sucking on various parts of your anatomy. It wants you there for everything – rocking, feeding, burping, changing... It’s ridiculous. If I wanted a kid I would have one. Until then, grow the hell up and stand on your own two feet, you little crazy.”
Chase Brooks

“Sure, some find gunning down unsuspecting, innocent animals to be a real hoot. I mean, for Christ sake, they mantle the decapitated, formaldehyde-stuffed heads on the wall. Then, of course, there are the people who enjoy putting sunglasses or hats on it, even putting a blowout in its mouth as if it were an avid party animal. If it had any hands, there would surely be a plastic cup full of cheap beer in it, as well. We can’t forget that it would be named some horrendous name, such as Bill or Frank, something so plain, ordinary, and down-right ridiculous that makes me want to bitch-slap the perpetrators. ”
Chase Brooks

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”
Bernard M. Baruch

“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
Dr. Seuss

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
Marilyn Monroe

“Whenever I feel the need to exercise, I lie down until it goes away.”
Paul Terry

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs
